Member for Kiama Gareth Ward announced the Floodplain Risk Management Grant would contribute towards flood studies for the Kendalls Beach and Spring Creek catchments.

The studies would then be used to complete risk management plans.

“These plans enable local councils and other agencies to make informed decisions to reduce flood risk to existing and future development,” Mr Ward said.

“This funding will enhance the resilience of our local community and help protect both life and property from the impacts of floods.”
