ILLAWARRA job seekers can sidestep the often frustrating process of applying online and engage employers face-to-face at a one-stop employment shop next week.
Shellharbour City Stadium will be transformed into a jobs and skills marketplace next Wednesday for the federal government’s Jobs and Skills Expo.
The expo is the third to take place in the Illawarra/Shoalhaven, aiming to connect job seekers of all ages and skill levels with hundreds of jobs and training opportunities.
More than 70 local, state and national exhibitors will be present.
These include Skilled, Commonwealth Bank, McDonald’s Illawarra, Woolworths and Novotel, as well as Shellharbour, Wollongong and Kiama Councils.
It will cover both full and part-time positions, from retail and local businesses to mining industry recruitment and major infrastructure projects.
There will be a shuttle bus service to the venue; visit the www.humanservices.gov.au/expos website for details.
